Workshop on “Look East Policy” at Itanagar[ Date: June 10, 2008.

A Look East Policy workshop planned for June 12 at Itanagar, capital of Arunachal Pradesh, has been deferred because of unavoidable circumstances. The workshop had received acceptances from a distinguished range of personalities including Mr. L. Pudaite, former Indian Ambassador to Myanmar and Bosnia, Mr. MP Bezbaruah, former Tourism Secretary, Government of India, and Dr. M. Rajarethnam of the international think-tank, the Asian Dialogue society, as well as many others. Those who had accepted included Falguni Raj Kumar, the Secretary of the North Eastern Council. Dr. Rajerathnam was going to share his views on what the countries of SE Asia expect of the North-east and the rest of India. Fresh dates and a new venue for the workshop will be announced in due course. |
